Philosophy
Our philosophy is centered on providing a secure and nurturing environment for women to embark on their journey of healing and personal growth. We aim to uncover and address feelings of guilt and shame, while fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect among all individuals involved. By promoting open-mindedness and challenging the stigma of addiction, we strive to expand perspectives and enable women to break free from limiting beliefs.
Integrity is a core value within our philosophy, encouraging individuals to act with honesty and authenticity. We recognize the importance of building a positive support network, as the power of connections and community plays a vital role in the recovery process. Ultimately, our goal is to empower women to reintegrate into society as productive and fulfilled individuals, equipped with the necessary skills and mindset for a new chapter in their lives.
Our Steps
Program Structure
- Staying clean is a the number one requirement
- Maintain the Recovery House Rules and guidelines
- Treatment- individuals are required to follow treatment plans from outside agencies to include treatment facilities, institutions, or courts.
- 12-Step program- individuals must participate in a 12-step program seeking recovery free from Substance Use Disorders
- Recovery Goals- individuals are responsible for establishing goals for their long-term recovery plan to include the following:
- Sponsorship- it is suggested that individuals obtain a sponsor within 30 days to participate in their recovery.
- Homegroup- is it suggested that individuals obtain a homegroup within 30 days to participate in their recovery
- 12-Step program service- it is suggested that individuals obtain a service commitment at their homegroup or area level to participate in their recovery
- Appointments- individuals must schedule and maintain all necessary appointments for their health and wellness such as:
- Physicians, Specialists, Health care professionals, etc.
- Psychiatrist, Psychologists, Therapist, Counselors, etc.
- Psychiatrists, Therapist, Welfare, Probation, Courts, etc.
- House meetings- individuals are required to attend scheduled house meetings to discuss any house updates or new ideas, issues, concerns, and/or to collaborate with residents
- Community living- individuals must respect the community they live in and abide by all county and state laws. Individuals must seek employment, volunteering, or education in the county of residence that will support a reasonable commute while maintaining their recovery.
- Transition Plan- Jairus House, will support, and provide resources for successful transition from the recovery house to permanent residency for individuals.

What is a Recovery/three-quarter house?
A three-quarter house is an independent living home where recovering residents are transitioning to total independence.
Is a three-quarter house a Residential Treatment Facility?
No
Will this home have children residing there?
No. If children need to visit or stay for the weekend, further accommodations can be made.
Can residents leave when they want?
Yes, but only within the curfew restrictions stated in the house rules. (Exceptions for work are allowed.)
Are residents required to attend meetings?
Yes
What is the success rate of residents in three-quarter house?
The success rate is entirely dependent on the resident. If they follow the house rules and continue to work a strong 12-step program, the chances are likely that they will be successful.
Are residents required to work?
Yes, but if disabled the resident must volunteer at an approved charity.
Do you accept donations?
Yes, Jarius House, Inc. is a 501(c)3 designated organization; therefore, we provide tax-deductible receipts for all donations. 100% of all donations will go straight to the support of our women.
Who is eligible for residency?
Any woman in recovery who is willing to abide by the house rules and is committed to living a clean lifestyle.
